STAUFFER, Max Eugene, - Born in Salina, KS September 14, 1931, son of Ernest F. Stauffer and Mary M. Stauffer. He passed away at home in Anaheim doing the thing he loved most. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Anne L. Stauffer, his children Sara Brown, Hugh Stauffer, Toni Bridgman, and Sharon Frederick as well as 7 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Max graduated with a BA from Kansas Wesleyan University. All his early years he worked in the Stauffer family hardware store. After moving to CA, he worked for Interstate Electronics for 30 years. He was a nature and history buff, and an avid reader. He was a giant of a man in heart and soul, and was always willing to help anyone that had a need. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 2pm at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1855 Orange Olive Road, Orange, CA 92865. Services entrusted to Melrose Abbey Mortuary.
