Jerry Dell Ehrlich, passed away at age 85, March 18, 2021, Chula Vista, CA.
Born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, December 6,1935. Son of Carl Ehrlich and Elizabeth Manweiler. Raised in Los Angeles, CA. Attended Manuel Arts High School. After graduation, attended Lutheran Concordia College in CA. He served as Pastor in Houston, TX and Cape Girardeau, MS. AAL Insurance Agent. Retired in 1987. Thrivent Insurance Agent 1997-1998. Retired to Chula Vista, CA and wrote his first book, Plato's Gift to Christianity. Other works: Building a Life by Carpenter Jesus; The Joy of Embracing God; The Platonic Bible, The Profound Charm of Plato, and others. Degrees: B.A. Lutheran Concordia College, CA. M.A., University of Missouri, Kansas City; M.of Divinity, Concordia Seminary, St. Louis; P.H.D. University of Missouri, Columbia, MS. Preceded in death by parents, Carl and Elizabeth Ehrlich and by Madison Paige Ehrlich, grandniece; brothers, Robert and Victor Ehrlich and their wives, Geraldine Ehrlich, Terry Ehrlich; sister, Sheila Ehrlich; uncle to Timothy J. Ehrlich and wife Kari Ehrlich, Heidi Ehrlich Douglass and husband Adam Douglass, Paul and David Ehrlich, Cheri and Kevin Hogan; granduncle to Jaiden Ehrlich and Hailey Douglass.
