Obituary of Larry Gene McConchie

Larry went to be with the Lord on March 1, 2021. Larry was born February 3rd, 1948 in Charlottesville, VA to the late Garnet Randolph and Clara Thelma McConchie. His family moved shortly thereafter to Richmond, VA where he lived for several years where he did most of growing up. Larry was a veteran who served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1968 where after his basic training he was stationed at Fort Richardson in Anchorage Alaska. After being discharged from the Army he returned to the Richmond, VA area so he could get a place ready for his wife Terry who joined him there and became his wife after she graduated from high school. Larry always loved cars and became an auto body man where he worked at several body shops. He received his initial training at the Fisher Auto Body School owned by GM in Northern VA. He also for a time owned and operated Reeds Distributing where he sold auto body shop supplies to body shops in Virginia. Larry, Terry and their daughter Crystal later moved to Port Orange, FL and then on to Orange County, California where he spent approximately the last 35 years of his life in Anaheim, CA.. Larry is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Terry McConchie; his daughter Crystal McConchie Krajec and husband Matt; his granddaughter Brooke Patino; his brother Garnet Earl McConchie and wife Jeanette; his sisters in law, Linda Wilson and Mary Simpson; his nieces Charity Ross, Andrea Lyle, Colleen Wilson Fukybayashi, Shannon Marini and Erica Cisneros; and his nephew Tray McConchie. A memorial service will be held for Larry on March 27, 2021 at 1pm at Richfield Community Church at 5320 Richfield Road in Yorba Linda, CA.
